Adams Idea A3 Irons Review
Shelling out hundreds of dollars for golf clubs can be a tough choice in any economy, but the Adams Idea a3 have been recognized as one of the best bargains on the market. It's hard to beat the combination of quality and price that this set provides.
The Golf Datatech numbers from early in the year showed this set as one of only three that had a four percent market share at both on- and off-course shops (the others were the Callaway X-22 and the Callaway Big Bertha '06 model), and the Adams Idea a3 Irons were the category leader in sales. There’s no set that better illustrates one of the secrets of the golf industry, which is that there are plenty of great offerings for those who aren’t limiting themselves to just looking at the newest models.
The clubs themselves are more than worth the money based on their technology and performance. The Adams Idea a3 feature the company's patented Boxer Technology on the hybrids, leading to more forgiveness and greater performance. The 6-7 irons are hollow-backed and have a progressive offset that maximizes ideal launch conditions, while the 8-PW irons are cavity-backed to increase the forgiveness and control.
At $515 for an eight-club set that includes three of the company's famous hybrids, it's a bargain that is tough to beat.
