That gelback is the company's lightweight, visco-elastic, vibration-damping material, and it's not there by accident. The club’s designers placed it directly behind the hitting surface, removing the dreaded vibrations on mis-hits while still offering the feel and feedback that top players need.
In addition, the company's micro-cavity technology removes weight from the topline and pushes it to the perimeter of the clubhead instead. Ten additional grams of weight were moved lower and deeper into the clubhead, improving the center of gravity, increasing the size of the sweet spot, and lessening the impact of off-center hits.
