Cleveland Launcher Irons Review
Mid to high handicappers, take heart. The Cleveland Launcher Irons were designed with you in mind.
The Cleveland Launcher Iron set features a combination of hybrids (3-5) and irons (6-SW). The hybrids feature a face that is 12% larger than any of the models that preceded it, and is engineered on an iron chassis with a parabolic leading edge that helps them glide through the rough and pick up the ball with ease. Moreover, they are easier to manage than the long irons that many struggle with.
Meanwhile, the 2009 Cleveland Launcher Irons are larger than the traditional models, with a lower and deeper center of gravity that leads to increased launch angles and ball speed. The 6-SW irons have a thick top line and an offset that helps the club square at impact, keeping the ball flying straight. They have wider soles that help the ball get in the air, and are forgiving enough to make off-center hits less costly.
In both the hybrids and the irons, extended horseshoe perimeter weighting keeps the center of gravity low and deep. The overall result: clubs with a high MOI, consistent ball flight, an oversized hitting area and exceptional forgiveness. What more could any golfer ask for?
