Nike Victory Red Irons Review

The Nike Victory Red Irons have Tiger Woods' impact all over them. Named because Woods wears red on Sundays as his victory uniform on the PGA Tour, he worked with the Nike development team to create irons that give him the best chance to shape shots and gets the ball where he needs it to go.

There are three different models of the Nike Victory Red Irons to choose from: the Forged TW Blades, the Forged Split Cavity, and the Full Cavity. Of those, the Forged TW Blades are the best choice for elite players. They feature the most workability of the three models, with exceptional feel and shot-making ability.

They also have less forgiveness than the other two, so a player who tends to have problems making contact on the sweet spot might be better off with one of the other two options in this series.

Offering maximum forgiveness are the Nike Victory Red Full Cavity irons. It has a deep cavity and oversized blade that help give the club a remarkable level of forgiveness. Shots come off the blade with a high launch angle, and look impressive flying down the fairway. The Forged Split Cavity is a nice middle ground for players who want greater feel, with a slight offset and split cavity helping to secure both forgiveness and control. One of these sets should be right for most players; after all, would Tiger Woods associate with anything less than the best?
