Ping i10 Iron Review

The Ping i10 Irons build on the design and engineering that debuted with the G10 series.  The i10, however, has a smaller head that is geared more towards golfers who prefer a more blade-style tour like appearance.

The Ping i10 irons share styling with their siblings, but are just as forgiving as the larger G10 irons. While the heads of the i10 are more compact, they perform just as well.  A point of differentiation, however, is the increased offset as you move from short to long irons.  This subtle change provides an extra degree of forgiveness without significantly impacting the overall look and setup of the clubs.

An appealing new option offered on the i10 is Ping's Ascending Weight Technology (AWT) shaft design.  With this feature, the long iron shafts are lighter than those of the short irons, which provide players with a consistent weight progression throughout the set, and lends to increases in club head speed and control.

The Bottom Line
While the updated, tour inspired design traits will appeal more to better players, they pack outstanding forgiveness sought after by mid to high handicappers as well.
