Ping i3+ Irons Review

The Ping i3+ irons are the latest incarnation of the venerable Ping Eye irons from several years back.  After 5 five plus generations of evolution, the Ping i3+ represents a rich history of improvements and new developments.

The soft cast heads translate into an incredibly soft feel at all impact points. Additionally, heat treating allows the heads to easily be loft and lie adjusted to align with each player’s game.  The back of the club head features Ping's proprietary Custom Tuning Port (CTP) for optimized weight distribution and customization.  The Ping i3+ custom tuning port is larger than other models to increase perimeter weighting and to allow players to adjust swing weight individually.  The size and placement of the CTP lends to their world class feel and feedback.  In addition to the custom tuning port, they have an updated sole design that lowers the face surface to insure consistency and playability out of just about any surface conditions.
