Ping Rapture Irons Review

The Ping Rapture irons are wide-soled the successor to Ping's successful G-Series sticks. Unlike their G-Series brethren, the Ping Rapture relies on the use of multiple metals to achieve their outstanding performance.

Engineered around strategically placed titanium, stainless steel and tungsten, the Ping Rapture irons are a high-performance offering blends technical innovation with classic Ping functional design. Each of the materials is strategically placed to optimize the forgiving characteristics of each iron. The result is a solid feel with exceptional forgiveness regardless of ball location at time of impact. Further contributing to their performance is the undercut cavity design of the sole. This design lowers the center of gravity and moves it further back in the head to increase launch angle and allow the player to drop the ball more softly. Rounding out the experience is the Ping "Custom Tuning Port" (CTP), which places an elastomer insert into the rear of the club face to increase stability and solidify the feel at impact.
