An updated back design locates the center of gravity in the middle of face by moving it from the toe and heel for exceptional feel at impact. The Titleist ZB irons also have a narrow sole to minimize friction in tour-like conditions, and to provide adequate bounce in softer surfaces.  Titleist has shortened the hosel slightly as well to further reduce the center of gravity and ensure tour qualified trajectories across all conditions.

The Titleist ZB Forged Irons take a unique approach by varying the design as they move from short to long irons.  The 2-4 irons are full cavity back, 5-7 mid irons are partial cavity with the remaining irons blending to muscle back for complete shot control.
